The Associate GP scheme was created out of necessity to provide GP practices with a long-term Doctor to satisfy the increasing number of unfilled salaried vacancies at surgeries across the country. Our Associate GPs are focused on continuity of care and integration within one team which is rare at a time when being a salaried/permanent GP is seemingly unattractive.
The Associate scheme responds by providing these GPs at a cost equivalent to or less than that of a traditional salaried post and far more cost effective than locum cover direct or via an agency. The Associate GP scheme is available Nationwide on a small and large scale provided by a Medical Chambers run by an elite team of high quality GPs and Vacancy Managers.
Benefit from 12 month renewable cover allowing both the GP and practice to work together for an extended of period of time. As a medical chambers we encourage you to offer the Associate GP a permanent contract after the first year and will not charge any further fees. … (as we will consider this job done!!).
