What is the Winter Indemnity Scheme?
The Winter Indemnity Scheme sees the allocation of £10,000,000 to support the costs of delivery of additional unscheduled care sessions, hence allowing GPs to work extra sessions without incurring additional indemnity costs.
How can I take advantage of the Winter Indemnity Scheme?
GPs are to schedule additional OOH sessions with their desired provider. Before working sessions, GPs should contact their MDO to access the scheme, MDOs will then claim reimbursements for NHSE.
